The Bird Nest originally started as a hobby for a bored house wife (Jeannette) in 1980.
In 1986 Jim decided to quit his job as a General Manager for a large Industrial Laundry and join Jeannette in her hobby with the idea making money-having fun.
In 1987 we opened a small retail store "The Bird Nest" at Toms Farms in Corona in an unused open air patio with rocks on the floor and holes in the fiberglass roof.
After about 10 years Tom built us a small store with a real roof, windows, doors and cement floors and our little store had A/C and heat.
The Bird Nest even though we were a small store has earned the respect of being one of the better Bird Shops in Southern Ca.
Now after spending19 years at Toms Farms we have decided to semi-retire. We no longer breed birds but to keep us out of the old rocking chair and to be able
to stay in contact with many of you folks we have opened this web site.
We appreciate your past patronage, in addition to the trust and confidence you placed in us. If you find it possible to shop from our web site we certainly will appreciate it.
